In order to be eligible for admission, the applicant must be (1) a foreign national
(i.e., foreign passport holder) or
(2) a Korean national who meets the Korean Board of Education’s guidelines.
Applicants for Kindergarten must be age five (60 months) by September 30 of
the academic year of entrance.
• Other criteria considered within these categories include:
1. English language ability
2. Academic records
3. Extracurricular activities
4. Record of positive conduct
Step 1: APPLICATION
• Complete the application form and submit with accompanying documents to the
school office. Applications may be picked-up at the school office.
• Required documents:
1. Completed application
2. Photocopy of passport title page
3. Complete immunization records
4. Complete school records from a previous school (in English, and please
include standardized tests scores)
• International Christian School allows returning students to register from March 1
through April 15. After April 15, the school will contact applicants if space is available
in the grade level the applicant is seeking to attend. You may feel free to
contact the school after the April 15 deadline if you are applying as a new student.
Step 2: TESTING AND INTERVIEW
The school will contact the parent of the child if an English Language test is thought to
be necessary. A fee of 30,000 KRW will be charged for the English Language test. An
interview with the parent and child will be given after the test has been scored.
Step 3: ACCEPTANCE
• Parents are notified whether their child has been offered admissions after the test
and interview.
• Enrollment is not considered final until a $600 US registration fee has been paid.
