This year Uijongbu Community Church took three adults and four students to the jungles of the Philippines. We were able to minister to the Tagbanwa tribe located on the island of Palawan in the area of Lamane. We conducted Bible school for 350 kids in which Levi Miller, Calab Im, Moriah Olling and Julie Byun taught and acted out the story of Jonah. There was also a craft time and singing time. The students did a great job. We also were able to clear 250 meters of jungle for a coming runway for New Tribes Mission planes to be able to land on the top of the mountain this year. Supplies will be able to be brought in and crops they are raising sent out much easier. Also, when there are accidents in the jungle where a person needs immediate attention by a doctor, a plane will be able to fly right in and get them out. It was a lot of hard work but rewarding and great fellowship with the Tagbanwa people. We were also able to just have fun with the children and adults in the evenings playing basketball and volleyball. Our students always had children hanging on them until about midnight every night. God blessed the week and it was a great opportunity to serve the Lord, to encourage, and to be encouraged.
